Participating in athletics is an important part of a student's school experience. It helps students to learn cooperation, teamwork, and develops character. Through a student athlete's participation, they will be challenged to grow and develop in ability, confidence, and social interaction.

Emanuel Lutheran School is a member of the Minnesota Lutheran Athletic Association (MLAA) for volleyball and basketball, and in some sports, they play against area public and non-public schools. The teams are coached by faculty members, volunteer parents, friends or alumni of Emanuel Lutheran Schools all of whom serve as positive Christian role models.
