Celebration and fun play a crucial role in bringing school families together and fostering a strong sense of community.  These are integral components of a vibrant and thriving school community. They foster connections and contribute to the overall positive environment within the school. Participation in these activities enhances the educational experience for students and builds a strong foundation for a supportive and engaged school community.


Back to School Night

This is a special time devoted to setting students up for success for the school year as well as providing families with an opportunity to connect and get to know one another prior to the beginning of the school year.


Harvest Carnival

The Emanuel Lutheran Annual Harvest Carnival is a Fun-Filled Community Event hosted by the Parent-Teacher League (PTL) at Emanuel. This festive gathering offers an exciting array of Carnival like activities and games that promise a memorable experience for children and families alike.

The Harvest Carnival provides an opportunity for kids to engage in a variety of entertaining games where they can accumulate tickets to exchange for delicious snacks, tempting candies, and even the chance to win fantastic grand prizes. From classic carnival games to skill-based challenges, there's something for everyone, ensuring laughter and enjoyment.

All members of the community are warmly invited to join in the festivities, attendees are invited to showcase their creativity by donning costumes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the carnival atmosphere. So, come one, come all, and join us at the Annual Harvest Carnival for a day of family-friendly fun, laughter, and the opportunity to create lasting memories. Let the games begin, as we celebrate the spirit of community in a joyous and festive environment. 


Holiday Meal

Emanuel Lutheran School has a wonderful tradition of gathering families together for a meal between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  During this meal extended family member including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and siblings gather for a delicious meal provided by our school cook and a variety of volunteers.  Student artwork is displayed to add to the delightful atmosphere. 


Weekly Chapel Service

Our weekly Chapel worship service, a cherished tradition at our school held every Friday, marks the start of the day with a focus on uplifting hearts to Christ. The session includes songs, Prayer and insightful object lessons thoughtfully presented by our dedicated staff and occasional guests. To foster a sense of community, students are grouped into Chapel families, promoting mentorship as older children serve as examples to their younger peers. This intentional and spiritually enriching gathering sets a positive tone for the week, emphasizing faith, unity, and shared values within our school community. 


Arlidazzle - 2023

Emanuel Lutheran Hamburg’s “The Greatest Gift is Jesus” Float Shines at Arli Dazzle Parade The float was an amazing display of towering gift boxes, covered in lights, that reached up to 7 feet high. The message Emanuel wanted to broadcast was that Jesus is truly the greatest gift, as Jesus grants us all forgiveness through the death of Jesus on the cross.

The float was a testament to Emanuel’s awesome family spirit, with over 30 participants walking in the parade. The “The Greatest Gift is Jesus” float was a true standout at the Arli Dazzle Parade, and it was a great way for Emanuel Lutheran Hamburg to spread the message of love and forgiveness to all people!


Family Nights

Each year Emanuel Lutheran School hosts Family Nights designed to bring family members of all ages together to explore various topics in a fun atmosphere.  Family Night topics rotate each year and have included:  Art Night, Literacy Night, Game Night, and STEM Night.


Green Isle FD Parade

Emanuel Lutheran School made a vibrant and supportive presence at the Green Isle Fire Department Parade, rallying behind local fire departments and embracing the spirit of community engagement. The school's participation was marked by an impressive float and enthusiastic involvement from numerous participants. The parade offered a joyous occasion for Emanuel's community members, as they were cheered on by fellow supporters along the route. The event not only showcased the school's commitment to local causes but also provided a fun and festive experience for everyone involved.


National Night Out

Emanuel Lutheran School enthusiastically participated in National Night Out (NNO) events held in Hamburg and Plato, contributing to the community spirit with engaging activities. The school organized "Crazy Hair" festivities and distributed prizes, adding a fun and lighthearted atmosphere to the event. The National Night Out gatherings provided an opportunity for Emanuel families to come together, enjoy the festivities, and connect with the broader community. The event not only celebrated community bonds but also welcomed new acquaintances, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved.


Track and Field Day

The Annual Track and Field Day at Mayer Lutheran High School held at the end of the school year, brings together Lutheran schools from the area for an athletic event. This tradition showcases the students as they compete in a variety of track and field events.

The Track and Field Day promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit. The participants demonstrate dedication, discipline, and the values instilled in them through Lutheran education.
