The annual Playday Competition is a highlight at the end of the school year, uniting three Lutheran schools in a spirited showcase of athleticism and fellowship. Students from Emanuel, Hamburg, St. Johns NYA & Zion Cologne gather to compete in an array of Track and Field events, including Dashes, Relays, High Jump, Long Jump, Softball Throw, Jump Rope, and Dodgeball. The competition culminates in the highly competitive Tug of War, a thrilling final event. Notably, the event rotates among the schools, adding an element of excitement as it is hosted at a different school each year. Beyond the athletic contests, Playday provides a wonderful opportunity for families and students to come together, celebrate their God-given talents, and strengthen the sense of community within the Lutheran school network
