In our combined 7th and 8th grade classroom, students thrive in a supportive and challenging environment that encourages both academic excellence and spiritual maturity. Through engaging lessons and daily opportunities for reflection, students are equipped to grow in faith, knowledge, and leadership.
Our 7th and 8th grade program is designed to challenge students academically while preparing them for high school and beyond. In addition to the core curriculum of religion/confirmation, literature, language, social studies, math, and science, Emanuel offers hands-on STEM experiences - including coding with Sphero robots, building circuits with Snap Circuits, and creating original designs with 3D modeling and printing. Our STEM program develops problem solving skills and creativity within our students in a fun, engaging environment.
A highlight of the year is our 3 day trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in northern Minnesota. At Wolf Ridge, students take outdoor education courses that promote teamwork, leadership, and a deep appreciation for God's creation. Students also participate in service learning projects, including a visit to Feed My Starving Children, where they pack meals for those in need around the world.
Our school tradition continues with an alternating end-of-year trip to a Minnesota Twins game or a day of fun at Valleyfair - offering opportunities to celebrate hard work and build community. At Emanuel, our 7th and 8th graders are growing academically, spiritually, and socially as they prepare to take their next big steps with confidence and purpose.
