Welcome to 5th & 6th Grade at Emanuel School
In our combined 5th and 6th grade classroom, students experience a dynamic and supportive learning environment designed to build both academic strength and spiritual growth. Each day begins with religion class and meaningful devotions that help students center their day on faith and reflection.
Our academic program includes a strong focus on math and reading, ensuring students are well-prepared for middle school and beyond. Weekly STEM activities—led by a STEM-certified teacher—challenge students to think critically and creatively, while computer skills lessons equip them with essential tools for thriving in today’s digital world.
The classroom experience is enriched with weekly art and music instruction, giving students opportunities to express themselves and discover new talents. Outside the classroom, students may participate in volleyball, basketball, and cross country, promoting teamwork and healthy habits.
We also believe in learning through service and experience. A field trip to Feed My Starving Children offers a humbling, hands-on opportunity to serve others. And each year, students enjoy a fun tradition of alternating between a trip to a Minnesota Twins game and a day at Valleyfair. Every other year, our students shine on stage as part of the school play—a memorable experience that builds confidence and creativity.
One of this year’s classroom highlights was our “Starbooks” event, where students "tasted" a variety of books in a cozy café-style setting, complete with kid-friendly drinks and treats. It was a fun and engaging way to spark excitement for reading and build a love of literature.
Our 5th and 6th grade program nurtures the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially, and creatively. We invite your family to be part of this inspiring journey at Emanuel School.
